Michelle Phan . Plastic surgery?

Man this is no small news. I have no idea if it's true or fake. But today a friend of mine whatsapped me and she went, 'Michelle Phan had a chin job!'

I was like, not possible... And then she directed me to her recent video...

I took a screenshot with her past videos against her new one. And man. I know I know.. It could be weight loss. But who's have half the chin gone via weight loss...

Most recent video vs a video a few months back

Most recent video vs a video a few years back

I really wish that this isn't real though. She's with me for so many years! And younger girls look up to her! There is no way confidence = plastic surgery, Michelle.

I don't really hold it against her if it's true. Just hope that young girls don't think of that knife as a solution to life.

  1. hey, i do think that she had chin job. seriously i thought that natural beauty comes from within. its not like "her" is she's doing plastic surgery. it's like damaging my dreams when seeing her with that new look.im not thinking the wrong way, but the chin is showing too much i think. its distracted me to the meaning of beautiful.

    1. Lol at natural beauty comes from within... it's called good makeup nowadays

  2. :( people liked her so much before she went through all those 'changes'. she's already beautiful. She's a makeup guru, and she is supposed to switch her appearance via makeup. I don't get what is the point of chopping her chin off and call it a 'transformation'. but she did have quite a bit of courage if it is true. must be a painful thing to do :(

  3. I think she had her chin done and her jawline looks uneven on both sides. Also, she has a bigger gap between her front teeth ???

  4. I normally wouldn't care but her videos are meant to inspire women to accept their own natural beauty. Whatever. I guess everyone nowadays is a hypocrite. She looks better with her old chin anyway. She looked youthful and delicate. Now she looks old.

  5. Yeh man, I can not bring myself to watch her in the same way I did in the past. Can't be bothered with it anymore. :(

  6. I think she just got fat sucked out of her cheeks. It's called buccal fat removal and people with fuller cheeks or rounder faces get it done for a slimmer, sleeker appearance. I think she looks more feminine and grown-up.

    1. Well buccal fat removal only removes fats away around the cheek area. It does not do anything to the chin. it does not make your chin look like a V shape when it is U shaped originally. Even if it was really buccal fat removal surgery, it is still plastic surgery....... What people think of her could be subjective. Some may think she look more attractive now, while others see it as a whole load of bullshit. Whatever it is, what people care isn't how she look before or after. It is the action that people care for. If you are all about accepting who you are, then don't do anything plastic. If you are into changing yourself, don't claim that you care about accepting who you are or natural beauty whatever.

  7. i dont think she's had surgery! i just have so many pictures of myself where i can also see clearly see different facial features although i havent had surgery. it just depends on which camera (phone/webcam/professional etc) i used, the make up, the lighting, THE ANGLE!, my weight... it just makes such a big difference. in this case: in both of the pics on the left her mouth is open. when you open your mouth, your face strechtes lengthwise. its like when one does the duckface, the cheeks look slimmer - of course, because they're sucked in then. also it depends very much on the video editing. you can stretch the picture in any direction you want. maybe this was done here. also the distance. it seems that she's much closer to the camera on the right pics in compare to the ones on the left. also on the left side she has lighter hair+ brighter background and her hair open on both sides of her face wich works like a "frame" to the face! so many reasons....

  9. She definitely had chin modification done, most likely chin fillers, which are common in Singapore were she visited right before her chin magically grew. To the people saying you are just hating Michelle because she has money are fools, the fact that she is lying about having facing surgery has nothing to do with people hating her for her money, seriously people's stupidity surprise me.

  10. She had jaw correction done, as posted on her twitter. Jaw correction is done by oral surgeon if you have underbite or overbite, which in her case I would think is an overbite. Braces alone will not fix these. If you had this procedure done, you will definitely see a major difference in you jaw line, adjusting the jaw will give you a more defined face shape and more proportionate chin. So it's really a dental procedure rather than plastic surgery.

    1. You don't have to have surgery to correct a misaligned jaw. I had a severe overbite, and it was corrected only with orthodontic devices.

    2. Hi, I'm a dental student from Australia. the need for orthognathic surgery, also known as jaw surgery, depends on number of different factors including the degree & cause of the overbite. Some overbites can be corrected with ortho (ie non-surgical means) alone, while others may require surgery as well.

the cause of a overbite may be skeletal (e.g upper jaw too big &/or lower jaw too small) &/or dental (e.g protruding upper teeth), if e.g its a dental cause alone it may be corrected with ortho alone.

not sure which class Michelle falls into though...but even if she has had surgery its her choice...

    4. Jaw reduction surgery in Asia is done mostly for cosmetic reasons. In Singapore and S. Korea this procedure is typically done to achieve a V-line face shape and to reduce mandibular and maxillar protrusion, which appears to be what Michelle Phan has had done; her mouth no longer juts forward beyond her nose tip at a profile view, and her nose is now nicely sloped.

I think many people's complaint is that it is misleading for her to act as though her facial-structure transformation was "God-given", especially considering her profession is changing your look only via makeup. It also looks like she had forehead injections--it's very round and surface area is larger, which is something no amount of makeup can create.

All I can say at the end of the day regarding Miss Phan is: Kudos to the talented M.D. who has transformed her!

  11. ok, lets say she did get it done. IMO she might have had jaw correction surgery, but that just makes your jaw more (or less) prominent. I've had it done, and it doesnt change the SHAPE of your jaw, it just changes the size of it. Michelle might have gotten a jaw surgery, BUT she DEFINETELY did SOMETHING to make her chin pointier (botox, injections, fat removal etc.)

Anyways, I would like to say; she can do whatever she likes. If your kid makes her a role model and wants to get surgery too, well too bad, you should have taught your kids better. Im sick of idiot that keep saying "oh he/she is a badddrole modeelll" whenever they lose weight/dye their hair/get divorced/wear something revealing/ get plastic surgery.
SO WHAT!! WHO CARES!!?? MICHELLE PHAN DOESNT LIVE HER LIFE IN THE GUIDELINES OF STAYING A ROLE MODEL TO YOUR KIDS!! She is her own person with her own wills and feelings, and she can do whatever she wants. If this makes her feel happy, then too bad for your kids who role model her, cuz I think she should get it. And i doubt any "kids" would figure this out wihtout help from people like you.

    1. You're right to an extent. I couldn't care less if my accountant neighbor got a nose, eyelid lift, and boob job, but I think many people's complaint about Michelle is that it is misleading for her to not disclose her investments in plastic surgery that make her makeup application look even better than before.

It is now less her talent with makeup that makes her look 10x better than she did 3-5 years ago, but the hand of a skilled doctor in Singapore or South Korea. I think there was a reason why she went to both countries multiple times in 2012...

  12. I don't think its about "its her life". If you watch her from the beginning you'll understand. She has always been about 'natural beauty' and accepting flaws. If she doesn't want people to call her public figure/role model or her life should stay private, then don't call us fans or making fan meetings event. She always said thanks to the fans' support that she could make it this far, I think we deserve the truth.

  13. She has botox and "injections" done. She said in the comment of one of her photos in Instagram: @michellefawn
She said it's temporary which is why she said she did not make a big deal out of it. (But she didn't make any videos about it, so we can't blame other ppl for still mentioning the 'surgery') she also said her chin will return to normal in time, hmm.. Let's just see ..

  14. Who care if MP have chin done..its her chin..her money..so get a life ppl..many other celebrity have done chin..nose..eye done..so its not a big deal..dang!! U guys better get more meaningful to do..than gossiping about other ppl chin.

  15. She did and she admits it by saying it's no big deal because it's a non-invasive procedure.

  17. I don't mind if she had something done to her face, but at least admit it. She keeps denying it like a hypocrite. Just admit it to your fans, don't lie to us! She lost my respect , not because she had plastic surgery etc. but because she is lying about herself to us. We are her fans, we love her. She should not treat us this way.

    1. It is sad. I wish she could accept herself as she is and be comfortable in her own skin. I remember reading newspapers in Asia where they were speculating about why she was travelling there so much! And then, all of a sudden she comes back home and her face changed. Hmm.
